The Cybersecurity Information Technology Collaborative (CyberITC) provides Cybersecurity Solutions to Ohio Schools. We are like any other Information Technology Center (ITC) in the State, but we are a non-profit collaborative dedicated to cybersecurity and schools. We provide the tools, training, and collaborative resources to protect schools from cybersecurity threats.
Services
Our shared cybersecurity solutions for Ohio schools are developed specifically for school districts at an absolute minimal cost. Should you opt for providing your services to the collaborative, you can earn credits against your annual fees.
We start with a shared Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) to audit, implement, manage, and monitor all aspects of your program. Your vCISO will conduct an initial security audit and track improvements over time.
We provide everything from a fully-staffed 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC), Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Security Training, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and Incident Response. A true 1-stop shop for all of your school cybersecurity needs.
Seamless Onboarding
Our simple 4-step onboarding process is a breeze to follow. We handle all of the heavy lifting, and you can do as much (or as little) as you'd like - and how much you feel comfortable doing. But we're there to help and provide guidance and assistance if you choose to implement some items on your own.
Each collaborative member must sign a membership agreement and pass a simple resolution identifying the CyberITC and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Cybersecurity Rubric as their adopted cybersecurity frameworks. This is one of the most impactful first steps any organization can take towards protecting themselves against cybersecurity threats.
Each collaborative member will conduct a self-assessment according to the Cybersecurity Rubric (based on the NIST CSF). This self-assessment will be evaulated and scored by the vCISO assigned to the member. An initial implementation plan will be developed and delivered to the member during the kickoff meeting.
Following the kickoff meeting, the collaborative will work with the new member to deploy/configure software, begin scans, and draft the member's Incident Response Plan and Security Plan. The vCISO will finalize the security audit and prepare all initial documentation for the member.
Once all implementation activities are completed, the vCISO will conduct a go-live meeting with the member and review all initial documentation. The collaborative member will sign off on the implementation. The vCISO will schedule the next 3 quarterly business review (QBR) meetings. This will conclude the implementation process.
Enter your email, and receive a response within 24 hours about joining the collaborative. No pressure. No charge for a consultation - or advice. And we may just send you a copy of an Ohio-specific Incident Response Plan for free. Isn't that what an Ohio Cybersecurity Collaborative should be?
